ABOUT US
The Mayfair Credit Union was
organized in September of 1936 and chartered under the name of "Frankford
Arsenal Employees Federal Credit Union".
Our charter was expanded in
December of 1989 to include residents and workers of Wissinoming, Mayfair and
Tacony communities, and bounded by Levick Street on the south, Roosevelt
Boulevard on the west, Sheffield Street on the north, and the Delaware River
on the east.
In 1990, we changed our name
to Mayfair Federal Credit union and moved to our new location on St. Vincent
Street in July of 1992.
In September 2003 , our
charter was changed to the following boundaries: beginning from the southern
corner of Castor avenue and the Delaware River west to Erie Avenue north on to
Front Street; east on Cayuga Street, north on to D Street, north on to Tabor
Road, west on to Comly Street and north and west on the
Philadelphia/Montgomery County line and east on Red Lion Road to the
Philadelphia/Bucks County border south to the Delaware River. The remainder
of the eastern boundary is defined as the Delaware River Bridge Road (north)
to Castor Avenue (south).
All workers and residents and
their immediate families are eligible to join our Credit Union and receive all
the benefits and services shown on our web site.
